NEST

NEST is an educational program designed for kids with the purpose of creating an experience with art in an engaging, educational, and fun way. Through storytelling, exhibitions, guided tours, and workshops, this program will bring craft and help the kids to use paint on different materials, collages, drawings, or sculptures, always utilizing recycled materials and natural images with ideas to create awareness of the environment.

The program will be in English and Portuguese. Leader of Program: Anna Biondo is a visual artist who graduated from Art and Design, and a former Assistant Curated at MAM-SP, Brazil. In 2010, when moved to Miami, she opened a company focused on art, education, and kids' entertainment. Now, she is a Director of Special Programs specially focused on Kids, and Director of Programs of The55Project.

CÂNDIDO PORTINARI

The55Project NEST presents its latest workshop, spotlighting the art of the great painter and muralist, Cândido Portinari. Led by the talented Anna Biondo, children will delve into Portinari's world through storytelling and hands-on painting activities. NEST offers educational and engaging experiences in art for kids between the ages of 5-12, making art accessible and fun. Join us in discovering the masterpieces of brazilian artists!

CHAPTER
ANITA MALFATTI

The55Project NEST will hold a second online workshop for Children's Day in Brazil, featuring the work of Anita Malfatti. The workshop, led by Anna Biondo, will include storytelling and coloring activities for kids between 5-12. The goal of NEST is to educate and engage children through art experiences, and it is supported by the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami.

TARSILA DO AMARAL

The first chapter of NEST features the renowned Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral. Led by Anna Biondo, children between the ages of 5 and 12 will participate in storytelling and hands-on workshops in painting, collage, drawing, using diverse materials. The classes, aim to provide an engaging and educational experience in art for kids. Join us in exploring the artistic influences of Tarsila do Amaral and let's inspire the next generation of artists!

Sensory Friendly

The55Project Sensory-Friendly Exhibition is a program for children and adults under the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and with sensory problems and their families to enjoy an art exhibit. This event is an opportunity to experience The55Project’s exhibit in comfortable and sensory-friendly environment. Sensory-Friendly Exhibit will be supervised and staffed by volunteers provided and trained by The Eyecontact Lives Shaped by Autism Project.
