About the Mentorship
We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new six-month artist mentorship program with curator Josué Mattos. This program will provide valuable feedback on artwork production, guidance on portfolio review, and assistance in developing projects for calls and grant proposals. Priority will be given to artists currently in the mentorship program, with a few slots available for new artists.

Critical Reading of Artwork Production: In-depth analysis and constructive critique of your current body of work to help refine and develop your artistic voice.

Assistance in organizing and presenting your portfolio, including the creation of technical sheets and descriptive entries for your sets of works.

Guidance in developing and submitting proposals for museum and cultural center calls, including detailed feedback on your applications.

Meet your instructor
Josué Mattos
Josué Mattos is an art historian and curator. He obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Contemporary Art History from the Université Paris X Nanterre. In 2009, he completed a master's degree in Curatorial Practices at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He curated the first edition of Frestas - Triennial of Arts in Sorocaba, Brazil, and was also involved in various art projects and exhibitions, including the program "É crédito ou débito?" that traveled to different cities in São Paulo.
Josué Mattos has been involved in art workshops, debates, and art salon juries in several cities in Brazil, such as Fortaleza, Piracicaba, Salvador, Brasília, Recife, Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Joinville, and Florianópolis. He is the editor of the magazine "Binômios" and is currently working on the development of the Veras Cultural Center in Florianópolis, Brazil.
