In the first week of December, Miami Art Week takes place across Miami and Miami Beach. The55Project will offer a curated and exclusive program, featuring visits to art fairs, private art collections, and previews of exhibitions at galleries and museums.
Residency #2 With Panmela Castro
Today, we are excited to announce that artist Pamela Castro @panmelacastro will join our residency program in partnership with @elespacio23, founded by the collector and Philanthropist Jorge Perez.
In addition, Pamela will be recognized at our fundraising event on October 22nd for her project at Rede Nami.
This event holds great significance as every contribution will directly support The55Project program and the Rede Nami mission, which aims to raise awareness about domestic violence detection among underprivileged children in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Studio visit with Gonzalo Fuenmayor (members only)
Private tour of Gonzalo Fuenmayor’s artist studio. He has a new body of work to share, so join us for this morning studio visit as we explore his creative process and private space.
Fuenmayor, who was born in Colombia and is based in Miami, has often questioned the ideas of what a Latin American artist should be. He makes drawings and installations which persistently deal with cultural hybridity and transnational identity. His research is concerned with the effects of modernization and progress not only on natural environments, but mostly on Latin American culture and its ways of being displayed internationally through stereotypes and common places.
