Measure of Dispersion by Gustavo Prado
(Nov 22, 2020 - Jan 17, 2021)

Gustavo Prado at Miami Beach Botanical Garden

The55Project is proud to present an exhibition The Undercurrent featuring the work of Gustavo Prado at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

For the new site-specific installation, Prado revisits his ongoing series Measure of Dispersion, last exhibited at the Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro in 2017.

Made from convex mirrors and industrial materials, this series of sculptural installations aims to amplify and manipulate the spectator’s field of vision––the sculptures create something akin to an anti-camera that reconfigures the viewer’s vantage point and amplifies notions of (dis)location.

“To be strong is to first live according to your weakness”
—David Lapoujade

"Brazil Through The Eyes of Portinari" por Ronaldo Fraga @fragaronaldo | Casting like he loves: with diversity, different colors and forms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ronaldo trully believes that fashion is the culture that could bring the new trends, historical components but also with current political and social issues. As an important way to communicate with society, he was Inspired by Portinari’s work, to fulfill the runway with a lot of emotions and deep in content.
